Help profit and loss statement

so for my marketing assignment im asked to produce a profit and loss statement for my said business.

Im just not sure as to what to include. ive had a look on the internet, and it all just seem confusing to me.

Could anyone help? what do i include in the statements? i just need a basic one for my assignment. :/

A profit and loss statement aka the income statement.
Simply explained:

Title (income statement for Abc Ltd for the year ended 2016)

Revenue (aka sales aka turnover)
- Cost of sales (aka cost of good sold)
= Gross profit

+ Other income (if there is any)
= Adjusted Gross profit

- Expenses (aka overheads)
= Net profit (or a net loss if it's negative.

It's quite simple
