Is Royal Holloway an ex polytechnic university? If not, where in the category does it lie in?

It's part of the University of London like King's College London, London School of Economics, Imperial College etc.
Royal Holloway was established in 1879 and joined the University of London in 1900. It's 1985 meger partner, Bedford College was established in 1849 and also joined the Univertsity of London in 1900. It is much older than York, Warwick and Bath which were established in the 1960s.
