Edinburgh vs Warwick IR

Hi!

I was just wondering which university is better for International Relations? I've applied to Warwick for Politics and International studies, and I've applied to Edinburgh for International Relations.

I got a conditional offer at BBB for Edinburgh, but I wasnt too sure if I should go there because I've heard that Edinburgh isn't so good for politics. The building for humanities is a bit outdated too  . However, they're still ranked as the 5th best university in the UK and the city is beautiful. :eek3:

Warwick, on the other hand, is bleh. lol I dont know much about it but I heard that it's really awesome for politics.:o:

so in terms of education and living, which university would you guys recommend? x :yep:

Edinburgh, Warwick is a dump. I rejected Warwick becuase the course stucture is really bad - very theory based and you had to learn a language (which would decrease your average marks if your no good at it). In IR course structure is everything cos you want to specialise when you are there and if you like international security and there are few modules on it then you will get annoyed over three years. Plus the place looks like a sixth form college. I personally prefer the traditional feel of Edinburgh.

Warwick. It's only taken forty years to build up an amazing reputation and it just seems to get better and better. They have great facilities too - not much in the way of pretty old buildings for sure, but much more in the way of stuff for students - the biggest arts centre outside London, the best SU facilities in the country, top notch sports facilities, and so on. The people who slag it off tend not to have spent much time there (if any at all) but to my mind a combination of brilliant campus + great reputation = top choice.
