- Is it entirely impossible for me to enter a non-vacant course through clearing?
Think of it as a science subject, so lecturers to deliver the theory, practicals / lab work - for supervised practicals in a computing lab, lots of independent reading - where you end up doing the most actual learning - and lots of guys.
Whether you like guys or not is up to you, but there are tons of them, they're everywhere, and you can't escape them.. just like 'real science' (TM) departments.
