Jobs for politics graduates?

I'm going to be studying economics and politics for the next 3 years, and I'm curious as to whether politics in particular opens any employment doors.

What sort of areas do politics graduates tend to go into after their degree? I ask because I don't know what I want to do after my degree, and picked economics and politics as a fairly strong degree to keep my options open, but now I'm wondering where I'll have an advantage in the future.

Thanks
If you check in with the Warwick careers office they'll have suggestions I'm sure.

I'm firmly in the learning for the sake of learning camp so I may not be the best person to ask, but the following (by no means complete) list would be a few places;

academia; journalism; civil service; charitable organisations/NGOs; EU/UN/UK government jobs.

Not a great list I must admit.

It's still a list, thanks for the input :smile:
With a politics degree you can do pretty much anything.

Apart from the list above: PR, Advertisement, Management, Consultancy, Pressure Group, Lobbyist, Think Tanks.
