I've just been told the marks attained in the first year don't count towards the final degree. Is this true?

I think it's stupid when it doesn't count.

What's the point in the whole first yea of your course if it doesn't count towards the degree? Stupid.

Mine did.

Found out today that mine doesn't (I just have to pass 5/6 modules). It's 25% in the second year and 75% in the third.
