Could you be up your own arse any more? I care about airflow, I'd rather have that extra headroom to overclock.

If it annoys you that much, then I genuinely give a **** about what some 12 year old on TSR thinks about my cable management.

I'll sort it out as and when I can, but until then, cry yourself to sleep using picture of **** cable management.

Looool, cool story broski.

Unless we're talking a wall of cables infront of every intake and exhaust, your airflow won't be affected that significantly.

I tried to give you some advice on what'd make your system better aesthetically. You made excuses and decided I was 12.

Make of it what you will, but you need to chill out.

Pretty similar to the build I'm about to do. Have you thought about a non reference 670 for a little extra? Asus DirectCU top or gigabyte windforce are both really good, I'm going for the Asus.

I got the Windforce 3X for a little less (£310 from dabs a couple of weeks back)

I would recommend the Gigabyte because Asus has notoriously poor returns service in the UK - whilst Gigabyte have a typical turn around time of 3 days. You don't want your DirectCU 670 to break for whatever reason then have to wait 2+ months just to get it back.

Seems like a good build. Maybe you should get 1600mHz ram instead for a couple of quid more?

Also the other person is right, getting the gigabyte or the Asus.....because the temps are better and you could push it further.

I haven't heard much bad about Asus returns service, is it really that bad? I have heard of some problems with the Asus 670s drivers so maybe that's something I should consider.

Check this out: https://forums.ebuyer.com/showthread.php/70053-Graphics-Card-Warranty-s-Let-s-see-how-good-they-really-are-*Look*

This guy made that chart after asking lots of people on a forum - not exactly perfect evidence but they have no reason to lie. And in my own forum-going experience I've noticed a lot of people complain about Asus return times whilst Gigabyte have always been brilliant (mainly because they're based in Milton Keynes so no waiting 1-2 weeks+ for delivery).

The boxart for Gigabyte cards looks quite nice.
Not really the best way to choose cards I know :colondollar:

Hmmm yeah a lot of good things about Gigabyte on the net. Windforce up to £350 on dabs! You were lucky. Cheapest I seem to be able to find it is £340 on Novatech
Right, feel like I'm going in circles with this build, been the most problematic ones I've done, I had it working, got to bios and what not, now It just beeps 3 times saying there is no memory when there is. Any ideas?

Take the memory out and try the sticks one by one in different slots. Sometimes just removing all the memory and then replacing it does the job.

It would be me who has a Powercolor PCS+ 5850. Oh well, I think it's out of warranty anyway and it's still going strong!
Has anyone got access to their University campus network? I just would like someone to check the current price of the new Retina MacBook Pro with Education discount. I am looking to get a MacBook Pro but want to know what the discount is like before I pull the trigger.
Thanks in advance.

I have the Storm enforcer case, It is very well made and functional but the 200mm fan in the front is quite loud.

Try each ram stick one at a time in each slot.
If that does not work then try borrow some ram from a friend or neighbour and try it.

Could be faulty ram stick or maybe dead ram slots on the mobo

Sounds like an Asus motherboard?
Just reinstall the rams again and i forgot exactly what to do but it has happened to other Asus motherboards, forgot exactly what the issue was though :/

"avoid like the plague" LOOOOOL
Seeing as not many on Yahoo answers are answering, I suppose I should ask the opinions of TSR! Mainly going by what PC-Specialist suggested. Mainly for gaming, movies, etc.

Intel Core i7 Quad Core Processor i7-3930k (3.2GHz) 12 MB Cache
8gb Kingston Hyper-x genesis dual-ddr 1600 MHZ, X.M.P (2 x 4GB Kit)
2GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 670
1TB Memory - 7200 RPM - 6GB/s - 32MB Cache
Asus P9X79
22" 1920x1080 Monitor (HD)
InWIN Dragon Rider Black Gaming Case
Keyboard + Mouse

Would this be a good build? Overall, this is £1575. Should I change anything to reduce the price? For example, I can get an i7-3820 which will reduce the price to £1,344.00 (if it makes a huge difference in quality?) Or the RAM which reduces it by ~£40.

Thanks for any help guys!

What's the power supply?
Seems like they are adding quite a bit to your price, have you thought about building it yourself?
Because you seem to know quite a bit.
