Having a super-long name is very unfair. By the time they've finally finished calling it out you've had time to think of 20 possible answers and come up with the best one. Compare that with Smith...
This isn't true and I'm getting a bit tired of hearing it. After you buzz in, you need to listen to make sure your name is being called out (it's entirely possible someone else buzzed at the same time and they got there first). From where the contestants sit, you can't actually hear Roger Tilling that well, so it's important. I also found that the sound of the buzzer distracts you. Add general nerves on top of that and I really wouldn't recommend buzzing in before you have the answer, unless you're really absolutely certain it's on the tip of your tongue. (One thing you REALLY shouldn't do: attempt to use that time for some mental arithmetic. It just doesn't end well, ever.)
Also, everyone else who's been on - which teams are you (or were you) all on?
On the 'have you been in TV'section of the application form, I found it quite funny when the rest of my team was just writing n/a and I was like 'it won't fit!'
I was an Athlete Escort in the London 2012 Victory Ceremonies for rowing, some equestrian, basketball, adaptive rowing, and 5 and 7 a side football. So not only was that 11 ceremonies by itself, lots of them keep appearing on the news :P
Ha, well, I was joking with the team that this was going to be my crafty way into showbiz (ending up doing a fairly bitter set for minimum wage at Blackpool North Pier), but I've not thought that far ahead yet...!
Has anyone done a UC-based play at the Edinburgh Fringe? I think that would be fun, maybe Trinity should try it.
I was a bit embarrassed at the slaughtering Trinners gave the Church, but it was kind of fun too - quick or what???

That's what I was referring to! The book was good.
Ahah - sorry, I didn't get the ironic smartness in your earlier response. What can I say - it's hot today! My brain only works in the presence of cool liquids.
BTW, I think your looks bring a certain wild passion and hipster to the team.

Haha!
Huh?? I've never been on the show you must have me confused with opaltiger or ACMW.
