I received and acknowledgement from St Andrews but I'm yet to receive the UCAS welcome letter. Is this normal? I'm asking because I fear it was lost in transition (I stupidly enough put my hotmail account on the application).

Have you tried to log on to UCAS track yet? If you can do that then there's almost no need for the letter. Other than that, when did you send away your application? It sometimes takes about two weeks for a letter to come through.

Also, if there's something wrong with your email (if that's why you're worried i.e. can't access it etc) then it's best to change the details on UCAS now (if you can). You get track updates through email, so make sure it's correct!
