C1 hard for everyone?

Most people (some of whom are taking further maths) I have spoken found C1 hard, whether that be OCR or Edexcel. Is that a one of or is this the case every year?

I think most mathematicians find C1 easy...

c1 is the easiest of the lot, if you want to start getting hard try core 3.

This. C1 is designed to be easy. If you're finding that hard, jump before you're pushed.

C1 was my worst score in maths - 85%. Not that it was particularly hard, I just didn't have any motivation for my A levels in the first half of year 12. (I picked up afterwards, though). Even if you find it hard, doesn't mean you're going to fail the rest of your A level.

c1 was pretty easy

c2 isnt much harder though and s1 is a joke

c3/4 are ment to be solid though

I know how you feel, I was finding C1 pretty hard recently, like the diffrentiation topics but once you get your head round it, its not too bad. Just keep asking for help & stuff. I'm on OCR too

Not really - it's quite easy for a competent mathematician to do very well at A-Level.

University-level separates the men from the boys. I know of a number of people who had higher UMS than me at both Maths and Further Maths but have had to drop out or retake years because it doesn't immediately transfer to Uni.

hardness out of 10 (10 being the hardest in relative terms, not that i actually find it impossible):

c1 3/10
c2 4/10
c3 6/10
c4 6/10
d1 4/10
m1 4/10
m2 5/10
m3 6/10
de 8/10
fp1 5/10
fp2 10/10
fp3 9/10

id say that fp2 is the hardest module, but tbh, all are do-able.
I can do C1 blindfolded.

FP2 was the only module I got 100% in. :colondollar:

Hated the Mechanics modules, got C grades in M2 and M3, and yet at Uni applied maths is my specialty. :dontknow:
Yes, I struggled learning C1 just because it's so much different to GCSE. I had stuck at it and it all came together a month or so before the exam.

Well I'm taking maths, f.maths and additional further maths. I got 100 UMS in C1, C2 and M1. Those who found C1 hard shouldn't be doing further maths.

In terms of difficulty adjusted to when you normally face them:

C1: 4/10
C2: 4/10

C3: 6/10
C4: 7/10

M1: 6/10
M2: 6/10

S1: 5/10
S2: 5/10

If you include further maths (the old fmaths)

FP1: 8/10
FP2: 9/10
FP3: 8/10

M3: 7/10
