Should the government...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1378803/Internet-piracy-crackdown-approved-appeal-Digital-Economy-Act-fails.html

As the government is now willing to cut off people who download illegally, what does everyone think will happen next?

Should the government clamp down on illegal downloads and cut off access or should it back down and allow things to continue as before? Or should the government monitor everyone's usage at all times and provide harsher penalties to those caught? Maybe it could back out completely and leave the Internet "free"?

We have yet to see if the Digital Economy act can be put into practise or not.

They will never stop piracy, the pirates will just think of new and more creative ways of sharing their files without their ISP's knowing.

I think the government should just let us do what we like on the internet.

I once saw a quote somewhere that stated 'The Internet is our final battle, and it will be our victory.' - One can only hope this is true.
