You would make mashed potato from scratch??

Yeah as its not really that hard  Plus I'd rather eat my own freshly made meals instead of buying premade ones

Oooh where were the highlighter strips from?!

They came from The Range - only £1. I thought they were quite a good idea for 'highlighting' key quotations in library books!

I've tried that stuff before but I still prefer my homemade mash instead  I'm going to be dedicating an hour everyday for my dinner to cook up different meals all the time, I find its a good way of relieving stress
Where's a good shop to buy pencil cases? I can't really buy online, so existing shops would be better :P.

(also, I can't believe I haven't seen this thread before. I live for stationery.)

I feel like it would be a betrayal if I didn't immediately recommend Paperchase.

WHSmith also sell some nice ones, and at the moment they have a promotion where if you buy any pencil case you get £10 off a 24-pack of Sharpies (£6.99 instead of £16.99) which seems like a pretty good deal!

Other shops which are good for stationery in general (not sure about pencil cases specifically): Wilkinsons, The Range, Staples, Rymans, and even supermarkets sometimes have surprisingly nice stuff!

You could also look at make up bags in places like Accessorize - they can work well as pencil cases and are often very pretty.

Just realised I still need Post-it's. And I need new pencil cases... Anyway I have almost everything including my map case, clipboard and technical drawing pens which were not only a pain to find but rather pricey! I'm going to study Geology, hence I need those items. I think I need to decorate my arch-lever files as I have 6 and they're all purple - it was cheaper to get the set from Staples. Just someway to distinguish them all!

And I gave in and got a set of turtle pushpins from Paperchase the other day. They are too cute...

I'm sure its not actually as bad as you say  And thanks, on a side note I'll most likely do my stationary shopping next week

Yeah we get them free and they disapprove if you use another.

On another note, I've been googling washi tape and wondering what I could do with it... how do you guys use it? Especially with filofaxes (for future reference of course)

I've seen a few people use washi tape to strengthen their Filofax inserts. They put washi tape along the left-hand side of the insert, then re-punch the insert.

I start my course on Monday and even though I am usually stationary mad, I just cannot be bothered this year! I think its because the past 3 years I have lived away from home and right now I am back with my parents because I haven't been able to find anywhere to live which is suitable for me and my pets :frown: However I may have to go shopping tomorrow now and treat myself to some nice things! I don't even have a desk here anymore, so I need to buy one of those as well! Gah.
I want these ghost-it notes though, too cute!

I also got mine in morrisons! £1.75  x
As far as desk organisation goes what are peoples plan of attack? I only have a small displaycase/dresser in my room so all work is done on my floor or bed but need to store everything there :frown:

I have managed to fit my lever arches in a bottom shelve along side my books but my other stationery is just scattered among perfume bottles and such :frown:

I currently have a multi drawer storage box (pictured) that I use for jewellery so I'm thinking of buying another of those in a different design to store my beloved stationery! The designs are often pretty and the drawers/compartments make it reasonably organised/efficient! X 1377904398550.jpg
