Re: Tech Society 3.0If it's one of the dark grey Sagem ones, it does support "g", but has a very low gain internal antenna, so it's next to useless.(Original post by mikeyd85)
I'd take a look at the config of the router. I'd be very, very surprised if that router didn't at least support 802.11G. -
Re: Tech Society 3.0Have done, I've got a choice of 54g Auto, 54g Performance, 54g LRS or 802.11b Only.(Original post by mikeyd85)

Re: Tech Society 3.0I'd go 54g auto tbh.(Original post by Wednesday Bass)

Re: Tech Society 3.0I'd look to see if there's a way of getting into the router to retrieve those details...(Original post by Wednesday Bass)
Why do Sky make it so ****ing difficult to do anything?
They provide you with a ****ty 802.11b router, which doesn't cover the house - even when it's right in the middle; don't give you the PPPoA details so you can use your own router (hell, they even put it in the T&Cs that you can't use your own router).
Protip: Don't get Sky broadband. -
Re: Tech Society 3.0Have done. There's an online tool that didn't work and that's all I could find.(Original post by Metrobeans)

Re: Tech Society 3.0Sagem F@st 2304.(Original post by Mad Vlad)
Which router have you been supplied with?
Biggest piece of crap router I've dealt with. And I've had some real **** ones.
Doesn't help that Sky force it upon you either...Last edited by Wednesday Bass; 06-11-2011 at 09:10. -
Re: Tech Society 3.0Quite. I have the same one.(Original post by Wednesday Bass)

Re: Tech Society 3.0Not sure TBH. Transformer looks very nice, although I'm still a bit skeptical of Android as a tablet OS (not that I've used it anywhere near enough to judge).(Original post by G8D)
Urghghghhhhhhhhhhhh.
I wanted the Air and now I kinda want the Transformer. But I can get a 20% "discount" if I buy the Air this week.
What do?!
That said, have you guise seen this article? Very interesting setup, kinda makes me want to try it.

Re: Tech Society 3.0You'd be apocalyptically stupid to buy a MacBook Air.(Original post by G8D)

Re: Tech Society 3.0Yes.(Original post by G8D)
Are you taking a specification:price angle on the matter? -
Re: Tech Society 3.0I was looking for functionality.(Original post by Mad Vlad)
Yes.
And not a standard fugly netbook. -
Re: Tech Society 3.0Quick look at Lenovo site leads me to think they're quite unattractive laptops.(Original post by Mad Vlad)
Thinkpad.
Also I think it'd be redundant to get another Windows computer. Hence why I'm mainly considering an Air or Transformer.Last edited by G8D; 10-11-2011 at 00:23.
