University choices!

Hi everyone,

I'm making my final uni choices right now but i'm really stuck!
I hope to study history and politics but I can't choose between Warwick and Sheffield; i've only managed to visit Warwick so I can't really compare both accurately!

Does anyone know how good each are in terms of:
- Green space.
- The ratio of applicants / successful applications.
- Affordable accomodation.

Thanks

Warwick as a campus uni, I'd expect to have much more green space than the city-based Sheffield - but someone who knows better can clarify.

Overall in 2010, Sheffield had 39,920 applicants and 5,048 enrolled (12.6%), while Warwick had 34,868 applicants and 4,178 enrolled (12.0%). Detailed acceptance ratios by subject group and university can be found here:

Someone else will have to comment on accommodation, but I'm pretty sure Sheffield would be cheaper.
You can compare average accommodation costs on www.comparetheuni.com

Hope that helps.
