Family holidays during Uni

Was just wondering really if anyone had taken time from uni for a family type holiday? Not asking for any particular reason other than there has been some talk about another holiday as a family as we did at the beginning of this year.

I know that being at college, I just got ahead with my work so by the time I got back I was still up to date. Are you able to do this at uni, or would you just have to miss out on a lot of work? I know its all 'you're paying for it so...' but I was just wondering if anyone else has had this situation? :smile:

I know people who randomly go on holiday all the time and skip class, but that is reflected in their grades. If your university doesn't have an attendance policy, then it's down to how much you think you'd miss out on and whether or not it is worth it. Personally, I wouldn't do it, but as I said, some do.
