Ah sorry I didn't see that, I hope Emma's limit is high (and more-so that I meet my offer )
Emma has no limit as far as I know  We've never been told one anyway. I watch hours and hours of TV online and have never been cut off.

On a related note; would not bringing a computer to Cambridge be a good idea? Can you usually find a computer in a library/computer room when you need to? Do you need to check your emails often?

I want to study economics. So quite a lot of essays I'd imagine. And research.

I imagine someone put the limit there because some compsci decided to download wikipedia or something, thus making everybody's internet slow.

Depends how happy you are with instead of going to your room and working in the evenings to instead go to the library and work. It'll be less comfortable, and you'll (if you're anything like me) have times where you say 'oh I really just want to be in my room, comfortable' and so you end up not working. You can get perfectly decent laptops for £300 and less nowadays, I'd say it's worth it.

More likely that people just downloaded games/movies/music. Though I enjoy your premise.
