the problem with the grand national is'nt the height or type of the jumps (there is much higher jumps and more dangerous jumps in show jumping and cross country) and lowering the jumps will just mean the horses go faster.

what needs to be done is they need to reduce the number of horses in the race because if one goes down it will take out the horses behind it too, also if they collide as they go over the jump or when they land then they fall. other races aren't as dangerous simply because there aren't as many horses.

personally I'd never enter a horse I owned (not that I do) into the grand national because I'd worry it would get hurt.
It shouldnt be illegal but should be improved. Less horses in the Grand National maybe.
Just ban it and Cheltenham
