Inequalities

such a stupid question to ask, but when do you need to switch the sign, as I have some how forgotten?

If you multiply or divide an inequality by a negative number, you must switch the signs around e.g.

2x>6    x<3\displaystyle -2x>6 \implies x<-3

y42    y8\displaystyle \frac{y}{-4}\leq 2 \implies y\geq -8
