Answering the question wrong....

Hey everybody!

I am a final year student and during my second exam a few weeks ago I misread the question! I thought the question said "Internationalisation" which is a topic we studied in our Strategy module but it actually said "Internalisation" which is a completely different topic, heat of the moment and exam stress must have got to me because I never normally do this. Anyway for a full hour I wrote all about Internationalisation, so therefore I was wondering do examiners take mistakes like this into consideration? Will I get some kind of "knowledge" marks? :\

Thanks

You might get some marks if it's a good essay overall (i.e. they may at least pass you) but I wouldn't expect brilliant marks unless your tutors (and the externals) are feeling particularly generous and/or it's an absolutely astounding piece of work. Again, it depends on the people marking it.

Is a lot riding on this exam or can you afford to slip up here and still get the classification you want?

Maybe you can e-mail someone or ask your tutor to put a word in for you?
