Six women rape man to death

Scroll to see replies

I don't wanna see any man who has posted a joke in this thread ever complain about misandry. I hate misandry but men are shooting themselves in the foot. And people wonder why female on male rape is not taken seriously.

You go girl friends! Nothing wrong wit puttin a man in his place! The pig.

It scares me that there are people like you on this Earth.

Why is it all the threads on TSR seem to end up in two posters having a heated discussion? Since registering on this forum I notice most threads contain jokes, especially the news ones. If you don't like this then don't come on this forum. As soon as someone famous dies there are jokes circulating, my other half always mentions the 'Ghost 2' jokes when I mention Patrick Swayze, it's just the way the world is, I don't think it's that big a deal to be honest, if we don't laugh in life then we cry!

On a topic related point, I always wonder how men can be raped when they have to get hard first. Maybe this is ignorant of me but I've always wondered it

Like someone else said, erections happen when the penis is stimulated or even when it isn't. Morning boners are proof of this. They can happen out of nowhere. You could also spike the man's drink with viagra.

Double standards again. Had it been the other way round, the word funny wouldnt be mentioned on this thread.

You complain about people making jokes about these sort of things, then you make a joke about it.

Hmm, double standards...

Some of us are trying!

But it's disturbing how many men have such a callous view of male rape. It doesn't give me much hope that things will get easier for male rape victims to come forward and be treated with sympathy and respect.

Wise words.

It wasnt a complaint, just an observation hence the joke regardless.

I stopped reading at "your worry isn't legitimate". I was raped at 15. I'm not fishing for rep. I'm doing whatever I can to dispel these bull**** ideas that guys just wanna get ****ed by anyone. Because it ****ing hurts when they play out in real life.

**** you.

I'm so sorry to hear that. So very sorry.

I've given up arguing with him because he clearly cannot see why jokes about it are unacceptable.

His lack of empathy for the suffering of others is astonishing.

I tried to make him think of a hypothetical scenario in which a rape victim was reading his posts. I'm so sorry that it turned out to be true.

I see he's disappeared. Maybe now he really will think about what he is defending.

If he's reading this. I hope you feel proud of yourself.
This whole argument you guys are having reminds of the time that someone told me off for describing something as retarded. Except words like 'moron' and 'idiot' have the exact same origin, but those are apparently fine. It's also fine to talk about 'burning bridges' and people getting along 'like a house on fire' when burn victims could potentially read it.

Non-PC or dark humour exists. We can't get away from it, whether you want to or not. And we can't be hypocritical - you cannot laugh about murder, then have a tantrum when a joke applies to you because your son is disabled. It would not matter to hypothetical you, of course, that someone else's son was murdered.
So - you may be a rape victim, and be hurt by rape jokes. They may even be badly placed jokes or just just plain rubbish. But you cannot suggest that the joke subject itself should be banned. Not unless you argue for all jokes that may offend to be banned. If so, good luck with your career as a 'knock-knock joke' comedian.

Personally, I am uncomfortable with jokes about male rape just because of society. Society doesn't take it seriously. For the same reason, I enjoy jokes about race, having been brought up in completely non-racist environments. I would not enjoy them whatsoever in a racist society, as it would reinforce prejudices.
But I understand that the line of acceptability is subjective, so I cannot suggest censorship of male rape jokes. And neither can anyone else.

Thank you.

At least women and girls who are raped will usually be sure of some sympathy from many other women. But if men and boys who are raped are seeing this kind of behaviour from other men...

Respond all you like. I've given up.
Mods will delete this thread now but they shouldn't. It should be bookmarked and shown to every poster who thinks all men want to be raped and that being raped by a woman is a "good way to go".

To be honest, I do see your point and I understand that it is a noble one. Ideally, yes there would be no jokes about things that can offend someone. But unfortunately, we do not have any way of telling who will find a joke offensive and who will not. A joke is a joke and should be interpreted that way only. There are certainly jokes that cross moral boundaries, and if your argument had been simply that "we should stop all jokes which cross moral boundaries" then I might agree with you. But instead, you and that other guy are arguing for stopping jokes about some very specific things. You aren't against the overall theme of dark jokes. Rather, your efforts are concentrated on rape jokes specifically. Secondly, the reason you've given is that they can be offensive, which again is very arbitrary and subjective.

To make a concrete conclusion on such a reason is not correct in my opinion. I'd rather you just come out against all dark jokes because then, you will at least have some firm ground to stand on. Right now ,you're picking and choosing what you're for and against, and rape does incidentally happens to be the topic at hand.

Lol yes post on an anonymous forum where we can all verify what you're saying.

Kid, I've seen some of your posts on other threads. You certainly aren't this sensitive individual you're trying to portray yourself as. Cut the BS and drop the act. I know you've got nothing else left so you;re trying to collect some sympathy but going off some of your other comments on this forum, you don't come across as a wounded person trying to right a wrong. Rather, you're just another obnoxious kid on TSR, looking for a topic to get al righteous about.

I'm genuinely at a loss for words for this.

Goodnight.

I totally agree and my humour is indeed very dark, but that's away from this forum and especially away from serious discussions. I choose my audience very carefully.

There are many personal things that apply to me one could joke about in front of me and I would not take offence as long as it was clear it was a joke as like you say it would be hypocritical.

But the problem with joking about male rape, is that I get the feeling some of the men joking about it genuinely believe it'd be good to be raped and that every man must feel the same, or some other stupid assumption like that. It's totally ignorant.

Kind of harsh to say that, for if he was actually was raped.

Having said that, I am actually in complete support of your hypocrisy point. Aisha~~ is hurt by rape jokes, but it's hypocritical to want these banned but be fine with all other dark humour. Unless Aisha~~ wants all potentially offensive humour banned, in which case there'd be very little comedy left in existence.

It shouldn't be banned, no, as comedy should have no barriers but a bit of common sense wouldn't go a miss.

Genuine belief is sickening. No two ways about it. Someone making a joke also has the responsibility to clarify if it's not clear that it's a joke (unless they are a troll, of course...).

I see dark humour on TSR quite a lot - normally on the first page of a serious thread. I've come to expect it from TSR; the first page of any thread will be quick one-liners about it. It's become a fundamental of the forum. For that reason, one should avoid the first page (or the thread altogether) if it could offend or upset them, because this has become a mainstay of the TSR community. There are probably other forums out there that have strict rules about serious posts only for people that dislike this cultural habit.
