Quick help of citations please!

I'm doing an essay that is on an article. Because of that, every time I say the authors name, do I have to write the year of publish after it?

Harvard referencing style by the way.

However please check with your department as i have found that even though different departments specify using the same referencing system some actually have their own variations. Mine prints it in our department handbook. If in doubt ask the professor who set the essay. It's really easy to get this wrong and you can lose marks over stupid mistakes.

Depends on your subject as to what style of citation is used. If you look carefully on your Uni/School/Dept website you will find some advice about this.
