'Death Star too expensive'

http://www.itv.com/news/story/2013-01-12/white-house-death-star-too-expensive-to-build/

Here's the Petition: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/response/isnt-petition-response-youre-looking

so according to the white house a death star would cost: $850,000,000,000,000,000 (£526,968 billion)

I think I might have to take a loan and build my own :beard:
I'm very disappointed by this news :frown: I vow to help you on this noble quest!
How about starting with the Millenium Falcon first?

Heck, I'd be happy with a proper R2-D2 robot...

I wonder what the tidal impact of a death star would be!

Well that was humorous break from statistics revision. Thank you very much

Now back to work! Non-parametric ANOVAs, HO!

But surely if it destroys planets, then the US can't really use it in any war on earth since they will just destroy themselves 0_o

If not the death star can we at least have Jedi temples with force related curriculum?

Maybe it is just me and my bad eyes, but I keep reading the thread title as 'Daily Star too expensive'.

I'm sure they could design a smaller version that just destroys countries. Hitler had that idea a long time ago before Star Wars was invented.

that's brilliant!

http://fullscalefalcon.com/ found this as well, group project to create a full scale falcon (as the website says) the control panels alone get me excited

Was that some massive mirror that concentrates sun light and burns cities and things?

Some 10 year old kid would probably manage to hack into the death star anyway

I had to research it, I do not watch sci-fi movies.
Looks like the Chinese will get there first.
I think you'll find the Death Star will be quite operational.......
