Edexcel C3,C4 June 2013 Thread

This is the point I get scared the teacher asked me to do Jan 13 Q8 and I wasn't sure how to do it. I believe it was part B. Something to do with Profit.

If anyone knoes what I'm on about that would be great.

Haven't done any Maths in a week this is horrendous. I'm doing 8 C3 and C4 Solomon Press this weekend once D1 is done. Hopefully I can have all the Solomon Done by Wednesday 22nd. Then I have 7 days or so to finish all the real papers.....

Im spending a week in UCL over the summer!
I haven't yet bottled down on C3/C4 revision. Im focusing on S1over the next few days. In the 6 papers I've done so far though, I've only gotten over 70/75 once!!

Yeah mate this isn't on we need to step it up!!!! I am so so frustrated. I was too scared to make mistakes in Solomon but now I don't care I'll do the Papers and Learn form my mistakes.

Going to start Re-capping my Notes on Each Exam every day now. It will make things so easier for me in 2 weeks.

And quality with the trip to UCL mate.

Does anybody know where I can find the Pure Maths papers from 2001-2004?Cheers

I think I have a fear of making mistakes on Papers, I only like it when its all As/A*s but I guess its not going to be like that from the start.

Yeah it was something dumb like that. I just did a D1 mock then my Teacher told me to answer it and I was dumbfounded.

It seemed relatively simple, I just told him I was confused and went home.

Alright.

All that info about cars and stuff is irrelevant, anyway. Here's the main thing:

$V = 17000e^{-0.25t} + 2000e^{-0.5t} + 500$

And the question was, "calculate the exact value of t when V = 9500".

So,

$9500 = 17000e^{-0.25t} + 2000e^{-0.5t} + 500$

$2000e^{-0.5t} + 17000e^{-0.25t} - 9000 = 0$

$2e^{-0.5t} + 17e^{-0.25t} - 9 = 0$

$2(e^{-0.25t})^2 + 17e^{-0.25t} - 9 = 0$

This look familiar to you?

Is anyone up for finishing:




Which will give us around 10 Days to just re-do papers, and go over any Zig Zag Papers / Redo Solomon?

It's super annoying. But we are going to do this guys!

I personally think you'll be trying to do them all in such a small amount of time, the exams will be another 10 days and more for C4 away so I think people hit a 'peak' of what's the best they can get then start to slip as they get careless, like mine was when I got 2 consecutive 100's in M1 then started to make stupid little mistakes as like what I did yesterday, plus you could 'burn out' too so I would just be careful really.
