Biology does get SOOO much harder. (makes me wish I'd continued Chemistry instead!). I don't think universities are that bothered what subjects you take ultimately, so long as they're 'proper' subjects. I applied with History, Maths and Biology and got offers for Sheffield, Edinburgh, Warwick, Glasgow and York, showing I think that as long as your a capable student and have a good enough personal statement they're not too bothered about the combination.
That's true. However, I doubt many universities will give you an offer if you don't have A-Level History.
