What do you say when you answer the phone and someone asks to speak to you?

Thanks for all the fabulous replies haha. I usually say "yeah that's me" or something but it always sounds really awkward and clumsy. I am expecting phonecalls from potential employers in the next few days so I was needing something more formal, but it seems from the replies here that "yes, speaking" is fine, so I'll go with that. :smile:

Me: "This is she".

I tend to only do that when it's cold-callers, otherwise it sounds a little weird.

If it's friends, I'll greet them casually.
If it's formal, I'll just say something like "it's me".
"yes, what do you want" ?
