What are some good note taking techniques for politics.

I have a problem. I feel like I'm missing something if I don't take notes on EVERYTHING, but it also makes me feel like I'm wasting so much time. For example, there is a section in my book with the subtitle of 'A brief history of affirmative action' which is three and a half pages long :frown:. Should I take notes on it?

Do you ever get that feel like you're at risk for skipping the most (potentially) useless bit of text?

Also please feel free to share some of your most productive revision techniques for politics.

Thanks,
