Hypothetical 2013/04 - UN Bombing

Israel requests that the name of the man be disclosed - if not to each nation, then solely to Israel. Due to the ongoing investigations against Iran, Israel may have evidence to connect him to terrorism.

Luxembourg echoes the comments of France and reminds all involved parties that full justice must be ensured during all stages of the investigation.

Indonesia requests the US comes forward with this new information to the Security Council and greater international community so a unified debate can occur.

Russia calls for a full impartial independent investigation done in parallel with the investigation done by the US to prevent bias against those that may oppose the US on some fronts.

Greece proposes this could be carried out by a multinational body such as the European Union, and we would like to hear what Russia thinks of our suggestion.

Israel would like to know if this revelation has had any effect so far?

The Islamic Republic of Iran wholeheartedly declares that it has nothing to do with the bombing of the UN headquarters, and requests that any Iranian citizens currently held in the US on suspicion of carrying out the attack be returned to Iran immediately for questioning.

Israel would like to know why Iran feels the necessity to question suspects in Iran - where it will not find them guilty if Iran itself ordered the attack - as opposed to in the USA or another independent country/body leading the investigation which will be impartial.

The suspect is believed to be an Iranian citizen, and as such should be tried by an independent Iranian court.

Russia agrees that the EU would be a good candidate for the investigation. It must be ensured that the investigation must remain as independent as possible to give a clear picture of what is happening to the whole world.

Luxembourg agrees with the EU carrying out the investigation but including also the Security Council.

All very nice but the EU rep shows up once every three or four months for the roll calls and little else.

Spain is willing to offer help but does require reliable information of who the bombers are part of before taking any further action.

Israel is confused - are you suggesting you help with the investigation or simply punish those involved?
