Yeah, they should be! It might not be so much about becoming a doctor as why that particular hospital and why you think you should be able to help. Most likely its just a formality! Good luck!

Do you think it's more of an interview to see I'm not a complete freak, or will it be very competitive?

I doubt it will be very competitive, hospitals want as many volunteers as possible
