Try living in Stanley in county Durham and you'll know what lack of jobs is. :P
Many people from up here move to London for jobs.

London is quite competitive though.

Only get a job in London if you LIVE in London.
I assume we're talking central london?

I worked in an Office as paid work experience.
I really enjoyed it but had to stop as I was being pillaged by transport costs.
Even jobs in London are becoming hard to come by for students. The huge influx of well qualified Eastern European workers in the last couple of years has squeezed out many typical 'student' jobs, especially in my area (Sutton). I feel grateful that I'm making even £50 a week as a waiter in a restaurant.

there is ALWAYS part time work going in London somewhere - it's true that foreign workers will take the professional jobs, but tbh you should be able to find temp work anywhere. They range from waiter/bar staff/cleaning staff/porter to things like flyering, telephone marketing and so on.
if you're talkimg bout part time/retail sorta jobs, London is quite hard but still jobs are availabale.

e.g. oxford street (WHERE I NOW HAVE A JOB!!!) is a good place to go seel urself so u can get a job

dont try tottenham court raod, bloody impossible
