It was really good. Definitely confirms that it is the right degree choice for me!

I hope my speaking ability has improved lol. I was probably the only one who actually spoke Japanese the whole time :P

Ahh it was quite poor...86 :/

In my defence, I only had two 45-min lessons each week (German I had 6) and I had only been doing it for just over a year and a half, so...

Really want an A* this year though! Spent about 4 hours of the flight today doing Japanese work xD

THIS!

That score would still be impressive even if you had more time to study for it tbh! Not many people could pull that off - especially when it's in a seemingly very intimidating language!
So have you thought about the pieces of work you'll submit to Oxford?

Yep. Got that all sorted before I left

First piece of work I had to write specifically for the application (because of a level subjects) and was on Japanese politics, the second was an essay we were given in Poliics on the U.S. constitution. When we go back to school the week after next I'll send it off. Deadline is the 10th November, so I don't really have that much time...

 Well thank **** your quite well read on politics then!
We definitely have different half-terms! (Mine has just started today and it's just 1 week), regional differences perhaps? Funnily enough I always thought that these School/College half-terms were a national thing

I think half terms are national things? Mine is two weeks (the week just gone and next week). Some schools set their own dates, others have it set by the government. I think it depends on the type of school.

Me too

I think private schools just have the week before off as well

I was at college (on two different days!) earlier this week! So yeah the students at my college will only have next week off :redface: But then I remember most of TSR reportedly having an earlier start to the term than the students at my college! So yh I guess it equals out one way or another! :}
*you're

Hmmm

your vs you're
das vs dass

I've noticed that when I don't put any thought into what I'm writing, I seem to just go for the 'shorter' one of the 2...:mmm:

Oost Berlijn, Unter Den Linden

Kom dansen, kom eten, kom zuipen, kom gokken
