Guys do you need permission from your school to go NCS? The one taking care of 6th form was like have you ask permission and I was like no (because the school present in the assembly about ncs so I though it's was very organised). Then she starts saying crap that you can't do whatever you want in life without permission. I start to develop social anxiety because how the school is so unorganised and keep telling you stuff at the last minute(like Ucas). I mean exam is done for now and she keep putting unessacery pressure:/

No, just sign up. http://www.ncsthechallenge.org/programme-2014-dates (check what's left). Do it during holidays so you don't have pressure from school cause it's YOUR holidays. Have fun!

Lol thanks but I'm going this Monday, that's why the 6th form thing said that I need permission, I can't believe she said sth like this on Friday like it's last minute she could have said at least 1 week before my ncs date

What type of bag did you need for the first week? An actual camping bad or just a small rucksack?

I took a suitcase and a small rucksack...like just for small essential stuff
They will give you a bag when you are going on the hike

I knew a few friends there and I met some people
you just go and say hi to everyone you see
ask for their name and stuff and just go with the flow
The hike was worst for me and abseiling was scariest but that's me
Overall, I LOVED IT! cant wait to go back on my second week
