The compensation is high in this instance, but carries out its intendment by sending out a strong message to companies in and around the UK. This could prompt managers to review policies and practices with the intention of reducing the effects of office bullying. Indirect and 'subtle' bullying also needs to be readdressed. Not only does it harm their personal well-being, it also amounts to a loss in productivity.

It also encourages people to take a tiny little thing to court in order to claim unreasonable amounts of money. That they in no way deserve.

The government that failed to protect them perhaps? Very callous that you can equate non-physical bullying with being crippled, and make the first seem worse...


Just because they were hurt inside the borders of the UK doesn't mean the gov failed to protect them. Where do you draw the line?
