Highers in Scotland, Ayshire and Neuroscience

Hello everyone, could you give me a piece of advice about which subjects for Highers to choose wanting to study Neuroscience and not even sure where to apply to uni???
And what is the difference between HND, HNC and NC, which one is Highers one???
Is there anyone studying at Ayshire college??
Thank you for help, I am a Czech student and I am not sure.
