I'm not talking about economics here. I'm talking about freedom of speech.

If you want to designate certain words and statements as offensive and then criminalise them on these grounds, you support a move towards authoritarianism and dictatorship.

What concerns me is that socialist countries in Scandinavia don't just have a left wing economic system. They oppress freedom of speech to a greater extent than any other countries in the West and use state resources to promote their agenda.

Economics has a massive effect on someone's freedom... Which is what you said. I'm left wing with a small 'L' and if I was going to be an extreme anything it would be anarchism... that doesn't even acknowledge the right of a state to exist... Anarchism and Leninism are both left wing yet completely different. You can stop associating left wing with one identity now.

USA and every single western country uses the media to promote agendas. Being concerned with freedom of speech is position you can hold on both the left and right.

Only classical liberalism is valid as an ideology for how we should run our society. Freedom needs to be paramount and lefties just don't understand this.

Would that include the notions of freedom as per Liberalism which posits that the fortunate should not be restrained in the exercise of tryanny over the unfortunate? As a "lefty" myself, I understand what freedom is and it is not the freedom to do whatever you want regardless of the consequences or the implications.
