Guests on Accommodation

Hi, I will be studying at Aston this September. Im an international student and i was wondering for how many days can we have a guest at our room.

I will be coming there with my father and i would like to see around the town and london with him, since we our both coming to UK for first time. We are thinking of coming to Birmingham at 21st of Sept.

I was wondering if he could stay at my room for 4-5 days?

I was wondering because i have seen somewhere in Aston's site that we were allowed to bring guests for 2 days only. It seemed really weird though since you are paying a rent there.

Ohh and one more question: The International Freshers week activity is mandatory? Because the first few days i would have some things to do (making a bank account etc.).
