Significance of masters grade.

I was wandering would it be bad if you got a pass in your masters degree instead of getting a merit or distinction ? Do employers really care about your masters grade?
Some companies I've looked at require a Masters and a 2:1 minimum to be eligible to apply so yes, some companies do care.

I think you missed the point. The OP is talking about the result in the Masters degrees itself.

I would say getting a merit or distinction as opposed to a pass might make a very small different in the first job after graduating (if it's academic or techincal), but after that, no-one will care.
Ok thanks guys, so really merely passing a masters will help you out in the long run?
