Especially for a international student

The obvious one is academia. Being a researcher, lecturer etc.

This is a useful site by the University of Bristol: http://www.bris.ac.uk/careers/grads/dept/neuroscience.asp

I suspect people just don't know (plus the forum is usually pretty quiet at this time of day). It's not medicine, so I've no idea if the job prospects are better or worse than average for biomedical sciences subjects.

You do realise, though, that neuroscience, neurology and neurosurgery are all separate disciplines? And that neuroscience itself is not a medical specialty?

yeah i do..but they don't have a neuroscience section here and i felt like medicine seems to get the most attention.
I'm about to start studying Neuroscience and from what I can tell, you can go down one of two routes if you want a job directly related to Neuroscience. Going into the world of academia (as previously mentioned) or doing post-graduation Medicine and (probably.. I assume) specialising in Neuroscience/Neurology(?). Being an international student and therefore bi/tri (or whatever) lingual would probably aid a post-grad application for Medicine I guess, anything that adds to your application.. For academia though, I don't think it would make a difference, you would just need to be fully fluent in English.

There may be more Neuroscience specific job prospects that I'm not aware of, I haven't actually started studying it yet so I can't claim to know these things really, ^ that's just the impression I've got from reading around etc.
