If you follow the instructions, it will tell you to go to the amazon discount page on the NUS Extra website:

http://www.nus.org.uk/en/nus-extra/discounts/save-5-on-even-more-at-amazon/?load=2&top=0&search=amazon

You then need to sign in on NUS extra

Another thing to be aware of is that you'll only get the discount if you're buying from amazon - no third party sellers
