How do i claim my tax back - tax rebate?

Hi, i have been working and have been getting taxed although i am in full time education. Im owed £800 and i dnt no where to go to get it back. Ive got all my details all i need is a telephone number or website. Any1 know?

Do you have to fill in a P 46 form and then they sort it out for you?

I got a letter from the Inland Revenue explaining I might be getting over taxed, so wrote back and got £500 tax back.
Just visit their website or something, ask them about it.

You can get a form on the website, can't remember the name. Search on the website! :smile:

I've been wondering about this as i have been taxed loads.
You do still have to pay tax when your in full-time education.

you can be exempt as long as you earn under a minimum amount..which is called the allowance...think its some where around 4-5 grand a year.

It's ninety four pounds a week I think.. As I used to work part time (two nights a week) before I left a week ago. It's pretty easy to get the tax back, just find where the inland revenue is in your town and give them a visit.
