Enhancing probability of being accepted to UCL... [MEng]

I'm merely wondering if anyone on here studies mechanical engineering at UCL, and, if so, what exactly did they do [in regards to subjects, revision techniques, extra curricular activities etc] to be accepted? I have a just under a year until I sit my AS exams, so I want to make sure that I've done enough to be considered for UCL.
