Its a waste counting how many words of notes you have. Your notes should cover the entire spectrum of the course, but should focus on the areas that you are struggling on; this may/may not be in the form of equations or diagrams. I have friends that have a ton of notes, and others who prefer to write as much in a mathematical form. I'd say the ones that write them all down as words have twice as much as the others, but in no way does that mean that their notes are 'better;' or more thorough.
