I currently hold an unconditional offer to study English at Bristol and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice about the course? Bristol's website is pretty vauge in describing the course and the books I will have to study. Can anyone give me any more info? Also, I was wondering what I can do in preparation for this degree, e.g. Books to read/buy beforehand. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks

Thank you for your help and information! My main concern is whether creative writing is compulsory or not. Could you help me with this concern?

You'll have to ask the Dept but I'd be surprised if anything beyond the core 'how do we study English' type units are compulsory.
