Ticked 'Private Finance' on my UCAS!

I just realised I ticked private finance on my UCAS by mistake :eek:

Phoned UCAS and they said they couldn't change it!

Can I apply to my LEA for the money still and then tell the Unis I made a mistake??

I am really shocked that UCAS can't help you out by changing it - I would contact the universities and see what they make of the situation

Tell your unis now. You need to get it sorted ASAP. Once they've made offers, it will be more difficult to change.

OK, I did the exact same thing last year and I still got the tuition fees loan and the full maintainance loan so don't worry! UCAS won't change it but it doen't really matter anyway; you just have to contact the universities you applied to individually and they will be the ones to change it. And it's not going to affect your application in anyway... :smile:

I was soooooo so worried but I did contact the Unis and they were fine about it!

Thought i was completely screwed, especially as I already had an offer.
