Hi,

I'm currently in my third year studying Physics at KCL, in my first year our two main textbooks were:

University Physics by Young and Freedman (around £50)

Engineering Mathematics by KA Stroud (around £25) or Mathematical Methods for Physics and Engineering by Riley, Hobson and Bence (around £35)

I found these textbooks, along with the lectures notes, gave me most of the information that I needed. University Physics is a little pricey, however, older students often sell their old textbooks, so you may be able to pick it up for a little less.

Hope this helps and hopefully see you in September!
