The Sociological Imagination - The Promise

Hi all.

I have just finish the reading for C. Wright Mills (2000). The Sociological Imagination. Chapter 1: The Promise.

Honestly, I literally got so confused after a few pages and then don't understand what it is talking about.

Therefore I would like some help as there are many sentences/paragraphs in the book I found very difficult to understand and got so confused.

Would you like to help me please?

Hi , I'm also reading it and what i got from the book is if an individual is to look at his own personal troubles about become aware that it is wider societies problem then he possesses the sociological imagination , e.g if you were to be unemployed then thats a personal trouble , but if unemployment is high for the whole of society then that's societies problem . not sure if you understand what i mean . its a really hard book to grasp , its very philosophical .
