Why will Islam win?

Scroll to see replies

Islam will win because people in the west are so terrified of confronting tenets and beliefs that conflict with liberal values, that they shout down anyone who does speak up.

A case in point is TSR. Yesterday I posted a thread which asked "If Islam has nothing to do with terrorism, why are so many terrorists called Mohammed?"

This thread was deleted and I have just received a warning for inciting racial hatred.

I expect to be banned next, for making this post. So terrified are liberals in the west of public debate about Islam.

So craven, so cowardly in their failure to confront wrong.

Winning is creating the most paupers in the world? Religion is a joke.

If it is a joke you must explain why so many people in the world believe in it.

My explanation is that people realise that adult life is empty if it is solely the pursuit of toys. Love and family are far more important. Over the millennia religions have evolved as complex languages for dealing with the problems of the philosophy and emotion of family and social life. Religion is not just about reason, it also links a person emotionally to philosophical concepts. In simple philosophy we say "there are good reasons for helping your neighbour", in Christian religion they might say "remember the story of the Good Samaritan", the second approach cross links to a whole panoply of further emotional and other connections.
never trust these predictions...

You've given two cold notions of both religion and capitalism.

You can see for yourself what religion is doing to the middle east. You can also see what capitalism is doing for the west. On one side you have backwards barbaric morals and on the other side you have scientific rationalism and intellectual enlightenment. One is conquering the other as we speak.
Almost impossible to predict 20 years into the future let alone 40+.

Humanity will win, in the end :hippie:

This

But sadly suspect it will have to get it's hands bloody a few more times before it does.

Humanity will win if it achieves mutual respect and understanding.

It will not win if it is ruled by a bunch of half wits sitting on the moral highground, dismissing all and sundry as narrative makers.
Interesting thread...
Allah and his satellite Mohammed will never win.

One of the places I take seminars is used as a food bank. Some of my male friends don't trust their girlfriends enough to marry them. A friend of mine from school committed suicide because he could see no point in it all. We had two people leave our shared house because they could not afford the rent any more....

Is the West winning? Its, ultimate, pointless victory will probably be the whole of humanity plugged into some sort of AI and kept like battery chickens to minimize their impact on the environment! The West is not winning, it is simply becoming ever more mechanically good at shovelling food down people's throats, immobilising the population with its media and sending remote controlled weapons to pulverize its enemies.

PS: Christians, Muslims and Buddhists all have capitalists.
PPS: Western morals are not superior, westerners are just utterly certain they are superior - like religious fanatics.

- Bangladesh a country which has turned to religion, look at the levels of poverty. Are they happy? erm nope.
- Women who are religious also have high levels of divorce rate and the same for suicide rates (Lmao suicide bombers anyone?)
- West has already won - it has destroyed countries built on religious dictators and backward ideologies it has only left the ones willing to play ball.
- Either way capitalists or people who follow religion are not superior. But i'd definitely rather be a capitalist.

Your thinking is blatantly flawed.

P.S Why is religion growing? Because people cannot leave certain religions without being physically harmed and disowned by their whole family/community. Look at the TSR threads.........
Islam will win basically because Muslim families tend to be much bigger than non-religious families and are much less likely to lose their faith.

You could probably create some sort of stochastic model which predicts that Atheism will rise just as long as there are Western Christians who generally make up the rise in global Atheism, but as those Christian numbers dwindle, the inflow to the Atheist category will decrease, whereas Muslims will continue to grow and grow more rapidly the more Muslims there are.

Also if you really think women who are religious and dress a certain way are more loyal. LOL They are absolutely freaks brah i'd say they're even worse since they've been sexually oppressed.

I have had MARRIED women texting/calling me who are religious..........open for anything brah.

I don't know what 'morals' you speak of, but if you don't like Western values then why stay in the west?

If you prefer Eastern values, stay in the East; if you prefer Western values, stay in the West.

The mixing of incompatible, and irreconcilable, values is a big problem.
This thread summed up:

'Atheism will win, still no gf tho'

We are going to be at 11% by 2050? No ****ing way. It could be a third at least.

If you look at the world's largest experiment in secularism - the communist empires, they achieved two results, an incredibly unhappy population and people who, when the empires ended, literally flocked into religion for something to fill the aching void. Despite this they have still not shaken off the depression of socialism.

World happiness surveys show that religion can make up for a lack of wealth but socialism cannot do this:

(God knows what is going on in Peru and Bolivia)

You obviously prefer the secular life, a mechanically lived, largely pointless existence is acceptable if there is enough social reward, toys and soothing strokes from authority, but it is not an inherently superior way of life.

If there comes a time when AIs work out how to program ever more successful AIs they will live in the world that you believe to be utopia. A world where one thing just presses on another for no point at all.

I would agree with you - respect, brother. The whole problem is western and eastern evangelists.

I don't really buy into surveys. I travel the world quite a bit and visit religious countries often. The religious countries live life in want. They secretly desire the riches of the west. Hence why they cannot organise themselves adequately and lots of fighting tends to occur.

But either way you havent sold it to me. Maybe some other fool might buy into it. But not me. I come from a religious background and i'm a capitalist too. I know which one i prefer and majority of the world does too. Next 20-50 years you will see an even bigger gap between religion and the free market principles.
