Genetic engineering??
I was answering a question in school and I said that you have to cut out the GENE from the chromosomes using restriction enzymes, then place this into the bacteria's chromosome. My teacher said that you use the enzymes to cut out the **plasmid?** from the chromosome and that you place it in the bacteria's DNA. Can someone explain the difference between these two answers? Thanks!!
