What do you think about people who get suspended/excluded from school?

I always think that those people must be quite dumb.

Because it's always dumb people that get suspended/excluded.
Did you get suspended?
Those who are suspended obviously have to return to their school at some point. As for the completely expelled, well isn't that what they want, to not have to go to school and learn? Instead of just kicking the bad ones out, get them checked by behaviour specialists and reformed so that they can continue to study in another school:wink:
Working at a school i can tell you that the vast majority that get excluded are for continously poor behaviour where i am. This behaviour is caused by a terrible home-life, typically the types of students getting excluded where we are, are typically in care or about to be in care at the time of the exclusion, so their whole lives are imploding as well as exploding around them, only at a very young-age. No-wonder why they can't handle it.

Especially with this lifeless results-based system that our exam-factori....i mean schools are forced to implement.

I sympathise with those kinds of excluded kids. But then you get the other types, the ones with nothing wrong at home but instead are just trying to make everyone elses lives as miserable as possible.

Best regards
Francis.
I would say they are more troubled than lack of intelligence.

I speak from the position of being suspended from college.

Some incredibly intelligent people sometimes do stupid things (expulsion), or can just voice their opinions when they are not necessary (suspension)
It is nothing to do with intelligence. If you have a fight you'll get suspended. Why might someone fight? If someone is being bullied would they not build up so much anger inside them and just attack that person when they have had enough. Telling the teacher usually doesn't help as they don't do much. But they will suspend you for fighting as you chose the wrong option. This is nothing to do with someone being dumb or not.

My brother has been suspended many times and excluded a few times. He's not dumb, he just has a lot of behavioural and learning disabilities that cause him frustration which then causes him to start acting up  Although he did get suspended for making a really dumb decision once -_- And yeah our home life wasn't great either and I guess it just effected him more externally whilst it effected me internally :h: as he was always the "bad" one and I was the "good" one but in the end we both ended up with a bunch of problems that needed to be resolved! Now he is in a good school and is getting better
I feel sorry for them, that they havent cottoned on to the fact they need to use the system and by their non compliance, they might be seriously undermining their future.
I feel like it depends on, like others have said, home life and behavioural problems. However, I went through many changes and pretty heavy problems with home life while I was at school but I never ended up in this situation. I guess that shows that everyone is affected by things differently.
