Yes white lives matter, all lives matter. However not all lives are constantly held at gunpoint and oppressed through the media.

As others have mentioned, they're showing solidarity with African Americans who suffer from being disproportionately shot by the police. Its nothing to do with issues in the UK.
#Blacklivesmatter, doesn't mean that other ethnicities lives don't matter. Rather, its an appeal for black people to be treated the same as more privileged members of society (see white people). Numerous statistics from the Bureau of Justice statistics show that black people are shot far more than other ethnicities, even when they account for the fact that African Americans 16% of America's population. White people are found with more contraband on average yet black people receive harsher sentences (where white people sometimes don't even get jail time sometimes), but I digress. Point is, a police system that hires predominantly middle-class white people to police almost entirely black neighbourhoods is absurd, and part of the problem. If they can arrest white lone mass murders, then they can arrest unarmed black people. But they don't, and therein lies the concern.
A lot of waffling, but you get the idea. A massive social issue but not much is being done to remedy it.

I agree with the most part of black lives matter movement,but I don't like it when they tend to victimise black criminals and with in the context the police are always painted as the bad guys,for just defending them selves e.g.michael brown.Nonetheless it is evident that black people are systematically oppressed by the criminal justice system,and we should do something about it.

Your hashtag is ridiculous. White lives have ALWAYS mattered. As for your statement, none of the men killed where killed BECAUSE THEY WERE WHITE. Black people are being killed by some police officers BECAUSE THEY ARE BLACK. Learn the difference and educate yourself.

Do you believe that if those two black men who have recently died would be dead if they had been white? No, becuase white men are never seen as a threat. Black on black crime is NOT the issue here. It's quite a stupid point really. There is white on white crime, asian on asian crime etc. You are part of the problem if you really think black people are to blame for the wrongful deaths of their brothers and sisters. A police officer is supposed to shoot as the LAST RESORT. Both men were in no position to harm the officer. White Supermacy does exist; this isn't to say that white people condone this or believe they are better than black people. BLM is not about alientating white people or making out that all white people are racist AS THAT IS NOT TRUE. But we can't scream 'all lives matter' when to many, black lives do not.

All these protests are in vain if a black guy lets his whole race down by killing five white cops in an act of violent retribution.
That man was not involved in the BLM protest, it has been stated by many different dectectives/officers. He was definitely angry at white people, but that does not mean that black people believe that what he did was right. However, the pain and confusion that the police officers families and friends are feeling are what we feel everytime one of us is killed for no good reason. Shooting is supposed to be an officers last resort and that has not been demonstrated recently.

White lives have always mattered. Black lives do not, which is the whole point of the BLM movement. None of the white men murdered in the uk by police have been killed because they were white. The black men in america killed by police are killed because they are black.
