Straddle Carrier transports the containers from the yard to the ship and vice versa. TEU factor ist 1,4, a=4500 are the costs (terminal yard area per 20' containers), b=10 the costs per move, T=3,6 days dwell time. The total costs for the container's warehouse are composed by the costs the terminal yard area (function of costs terminal yard area per container, mean stacking height and slot capacity) and the costs for the container handling (function of mean number of moves, costs per move, TEU factor and the annual transshipment). How big is the optimal mean stacking height? a) 2,8 b) 3,1 c) 3,5
